Full time

Location: GT Forests Office, Mt Gambier, SA, AUS

Applications close: 6 April 2026

OneFortyOne is committed to redefining the value of fibre and continuously improving how we grow, harvest and optimise our forest resources. Technology, data and innovation are transforming our operations, and this role plays an important part in that journey.

We’re looking for a Value Optimisation Forester to join our Green Triangle Forests team. Reporting to the Harvesting Manager, you will support the delivery of value recovery, quality control, and operational improvement initiatives across our harvesting operations.

This role builds foundational capability through a structured development pathway working with harvesting technology, machine data, log-making quality processes, and operational systems. You’ll work closely with harvesting foresters, contractors, analysts, and technical partners to identify opportunities, improve performance, and strengthen our value recovery outcomes.

What you’ll be involved in

  • Supporting value recovery and quality control processes across harvesting, log making and in forest inventory
  • Conducting audits, analysing data trends and helping identify opportunities to reduce waste
  • Learning how machine control settings influence value recovery and supporting operators as your capability grows
  • Assisting with contractor competency assessments and contributing to training activities
  • Working with systems such as StanForD, Trimble, harvester simulators and machine data platforms
  • Collaborating with the Sales & Operations team to document issues, support investigations and drive improvements
  • Supporting technology optimisation and data integrity across OFO’s harvesting operations
  • Participating in fire readiness and response as required

What you’ll bring

  • A relevant qualification (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Understanding of plantation harvesting and forwarding operations
  • Interest in harvesting technology, machine systems and data analysis
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Curiosity, problem solving capability and a willingness to learn advanced systems and analytics
  • A suitable level of physical fitness to safely undertake field work and meet required fire readiness and health assessments.
  • A current and appropriate driver’s licence

At OneFortyOne, our people can grow their careers while staying connected to what matters — their wellbeing, development and the support of a team that values respect, courage, care and working better together.
