OneFortyOne is proud to announce the release of its 2025 Annual Review reflecting a year of disciplined performance and strategic investment. In 2025 we delivered strong financial results, advanced our climate commitments, and continued our engagement with the communities where we live and work.

Now in its 13th year of operation, OneFortyOne continues to build on its firm foundation, delivering long-term value for stakeholders.

Michael Barbara, Interim CEO, said “Our Annual Review is more than a reflection of the past year, it’s a statement of our purpose. We are here for the long term, committed to growing a better tomorrow for our people, our communities, and the planet.”

OneFortyOne delivered strong financial returns while continuing to invest in safety, sustainability, and long-term growth. Key milestones include:

  • Home Safe and Well: Our Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR) improved, achieving our best result to date, reflecting a company-wide commitment to everyone going home safe and well.
  • Sustainability in Action: Progress toward our 2030 target of reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 75%, supported by major projects like the A$88 million Jubilee Boiler and Co-Generation Project, which will eliminate Scope 2 emissions and generate renewable energy at the Jubilee Sawmill.
  • Community Partnerships: Over 60 grassroots initiatives funded through the PINE Community Grants Program, alongside biodiversity projects such as the Powelliphanta snail sanctuary in New Zealand and wetland restoration in South Australia and Victoria.
  • Innovation for the Future: Advancing renewable energy and circular economy initiatives, including MCA-treated timber solutions and expanding markets for wood residue.

Jessica Douglas, Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability said “Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Every project, every partnership, and every innovation reflects our commitment to creating a positive impact for future generations. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and even more excited about what’s ahead.”

Michael added, “2025 was a year of challenges and achievements. Markets didn’t bounce back the way we hoped, but our people showed resilience, teamwork, and a commitment to doing things right. From improving safety to investing in growing the highest quality sustainable wood products, we’re setting ourselves up for a stronger future. The Jubilee Co-Gen Project is a game changer. By 2028, 100% of residue fibre onsite will be utilised, nothing to landfill. That’s the kind of thinking that keeps us moving forward.”

Despite operating in one of the most challenging market environments in recent years, OneFortyOne remains a stable, high-performing business with a clear long-term strategy. Michael said “I encourage everyone to read the Annual Review and check out the videos we’ve included. They bring our story to life and show the incredible work our teams are doing every day.”

In Aotearoa New Zealand, Māori communities have a strong spiritual connection between people and the land – the wellbeing of one sustains the wellbeing of the other. We strive to build meaningful relationships with iwi as tangata whenua (people of the land/region), to be responsible intergenerational kaitiaki (stewards/guardians) of the land where our forests grow.
