We’re currently looking for a fully qualified Saw Doctor to join the Saw Shop team at Jubilee Sawmill in Mount Gambier, South Australia.

The role:

The position reports to the Saw Shop Manager. As a valued member of the Saw Shop team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently undertaking trade duties related to saw maintenance and sharpening for a wide range of timber mill machinery across the Jubilee Sawmill site.  

The Saw Shop works a rotating 3 shift roster between day/afternoon/night, 5 x 8-hour shifts per day, Monday – Friday, with overtime as required. 

Paid Classification MGST (Saw Technician) with 15% shift loading additional on afternoon shift and 30% loading additional on night shift.

You: 

  • hold a valid saw doctor trade qualification
  • are able to prioritise and act with a sense of urgency to ensure plant uptime targets are achieved
  • have well developed problem-solving skills
  • are able to work effectively independently or in a team environment
  • are keen to continually learn and develop
  • have a professional, positive, can-do attitude
  • are willing to pass on your knowledge to grow and mentor our apprentices
