Greenmill Area Electrician

We’re currently looking for a trade qualified Electrician to join the Greenmill Maintenance Team at the Jubilee Sawmill in Mount Gambier, South Australia.

The role:

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, your main responsibility will be to safely and efficiently carry out maintenance and modification of production equipment to ensure plant productivity is maximised, being the first point of call for any electrical matters in the Greenmill Area.

Starting hourly rates of $39.67 per hour (Classification MGMC7) + Electrical Compliance Allowance, with development opportunities available to progress to $44.46 per hour (Classification MGMC5).

15% shift loading is additional on afternoon shift and 30% shift loading additional past midnight.

Rotating day and afternoon shift, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday). Weekend work and shift coverage may be required.

You:

• Hold a valid electrical trade qualification, ‘A Grade’ SA Electrical Licence and compliance certification.
• Ideally have electrical experience is a relevant/similar industry.
• Are able to solve complex problems and recommend solutions
• Have the ability to prioritise & act with a sense of urgency to ensure plant uptime targets are achieved
• Are able to work effectively independently or in a team
• Proven ability in the effective management of safe work practices

The successful candidate will also be open to mentoring our apprentices, and have a professional, positive, can-do attitude. Skills are important; however, the right attitude is essential.
