OneFortyOne’s Industrial / Merch timber is a seasoned (kiln-dried) dressed pine product manufactured from sustainably grown radiata pine. Produced from timber that does not meet structural grading requirements, it is a cost-effective option for a wide range of non-structural applications where consistency, stability and ease of use are important.

The dressing process provides a smooth, uniform finish, while kiln drying enhances stability and helps reduce shrinkage, twisting and distortion.

Recommended applications:

  • General building applications where structural certification is not required
  • Pallets, cases and crates, including export-compliant packaging
  • Dunnage and shipping components
  • Feedstock for fencing and landscaping products
  • General-purpose industrial and manufacturing applications

Key features:

  • Kiln dried for improved stability and reduced moisture movement
  • Dressed on all sides for a smooth, consistent finish
  • Lightweight and easy to handle
  • Suitable for a broad range of non-structural industrial and commercial applications
  • Cost-effective and versatile for further processing and manufacturing

Product Benefits:

Moisture Content

  • Typically dried to a moisture content of 10–14%
  • Improves stability and reduces moisture-related movement during handling, machining and service

Material Stability

  • Continuous-flow kiln drying helps minimise drying stress
  • Reliable dimensional consistency
  • Reduced risk of bowing, twisting and cupping

Core Wood vs Sapwood (90 × 35 mm and 90 × 45 mm)

Material is graded and separated to provide consistent performance characteristics.

Core Wood

  • Lower defect levels
  • Lower density
  • More stable and predictable in service

Sapwood

  • Higher density and strength
  • Higher natural defect rate
  • Suitable where additional strength is beneficial
