Public hunting – New Zealand

The OneFortyOne New Zealand Forests’ public hunting season will run from 12th April 2025 until 26th October 2025 (inclusive), subject to operational and weather conditions.

The fee for a hunting permit will be $150, this covers our administration costs, $10 of this application fee will be donated to the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter Trust.

More information will be available in early March.

We strive to build meaningful relationships with iwi as tangata whenua (people of the land/region), to be responsible intergenerational kaitiaki (stewards/guardians) of the land where our forests grow.
