We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join the group support team. This role reports to the Manager Compensation & Analytics and focuses on payroll activities for our Australian businesses, including OneFortyOne Green Triangle Forests and Wood Products Jubilee Sawmill.

The Role:

  • processes weekly & fortnightly payroll for our employees accurately and on time.
  • maintains payroll records and ensures data integrity.
  • calculates wages, bonuses, and deductions.
  • ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • handles payroll inquiries and resolves any discrepancies.
  • prepares and submits payroll reports.
  • collaborates with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.

You:

  • have qualifications in payroll, financial processing or bookkeeping or equivalent relevant experience.
  • are skilled in payroll processing and working with integrated HR payroll software (experience with iChris will be highly regarded).  
  • have organisation and time management skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • are proactive and use your communication skills to engage and develop working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • ability to work autonomously, and work within a team environment.

This ongoing part-time position involves working 30 hours per week, distributed over 4 or 5 days. The regular work pattern to include 7.5 hours on Mondays, with a minimum of 5 hours on Tuesdays and Fridays to accommodate the preparation and processing of weekly and fortnightly payroll activities.
