We are looking for an Establishment Officer to join our Green Triangle Forests Team, supporting the delivery of establishment and plantation operations across our Estate.

The Role:

As the Establishment Officer, you will support the delivery of establishment and silviculture programs, including site cultivation, operational reporting, contractor coordination and fire readiness activities. This role will help ensure field programs are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support establishment and plantation operations, including site cultivation, seasonal silviculture activities and field program delivery.
  • Operate, inspect and maintain equipment and heavy plant to support safe, reliable and efficient operations.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, reporting and operational record keeping in line with quality standards and program requirements.
  • Supervise small teams and contractors to meet safety, quality, cost and timeframe requirements.
  • Liaise with neighbours, contractors and internal stakeholders, and participate in fire readiness and response activities.

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience or interest in machine operations, forestry, agriculture, plantation establishment or timber.
  • Understanding of plantation silviculture, forest operations and quality requirements.
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain heavy plant, equipment and cultivation implements.
  • Strong communication, organisation and teamwork skills, including contractor liaison and reporting.
  • Competency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to participate in firefighting activities and training.
