OneFortyOne’s response to COVID-19

OneFortyOne’s highest priority is the wellbeing of our people, our contractors and customers, as well as the communities in which we live and work.

As a Trans-Tasman business with employees and stakeholders in Australia and New Zealand our response is in line with the advice provided by the Australian and New Zealand Governments.

OneFortyOne is closely monitoring the developments concerning the COVID-19 pandemic. At all times we strive to respond appropriately, adhering to the expert advice from local and global health authorities – while continuing to operate effectively and provide services within this ever-changing environment.

New Zealand

New Zealand is at Alert Level 4.

OneFortyOne New Zealand is regarded as a non-essential business under the NZ Governments definition and as such is closing down its operations to comply with Alert level 4.

Some of our employees have been stood down because Kaituna Sawmill is currently closed. Our employees who are currently stood down will receive normal pay through to 30 April. The wage subsidy support offered by the New Zealand government assists us in being able to offer this period of full pay.

We will resume our operations as soon as we are able to.

Australia

In Australia all employees who can work from home are doing so. Our forest and mill located in the Green Triangle continue to operate. We have strict physical distancing and disease management protocols in place in the forest and the sawmill.

First and foremost, it is the wellbeing of our people, our contractors, customers and local regional communities that are our highest priority.

Looking ahead, we will continue to focus on three priorities: the wellbeing of our employees and their families, our business continuity during this uncertain time and we will work hard to keep our workforce.
