Mechanical Shift Tradesperson

Hourly rates range $36.68 per hour – $41.11 per hour. 15% shift loading is additional on afternoon shift, 30% shift loading is additional on night shift.

We’re looking for a qualified tradesperson to join the team as a Mechanical Shift Tradesperson.

Motor mechanics, boiler makers, fitters and other relevant tradespeople are encouraged to apply with adult fitter apprenticeships available for the right candidate.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your main responsibility will be to safely and efficiently carry out repair and PM work across the Jubilee Sawmill Site.

You will have:

• Experience in maintenance fitting & machining work or relevant trade experience
• Ability to prioritise & act with a sense of urgency to achieve plant uptime targets
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively independently or in a group
• Willingness to continually learn

Flexibility to work rotating shifts. Positions available in our 9-day fortnight rotating day/afternoon shift and our 8-hour rotating 3 shift (Monday to Friday) schedules. Weekend work and shift coverage may be required.

The Mechanical Shift Tradesperson should also be open to mentoring our apprentices, and must have a professional, positive, can do attitude. Skills are important; however, the right attitude is essential.
