OneFortyOne announces appointment of Shaun Truelock, New Zealand Forests General Manager

OneFortyOne today announced the key appointment of Shaun Truelock as New Zealand Forests General Manager.

Commencing on 21 August 2023 Shaun Truelock is a forestry industry executive with experience leading businesses across New Zealand, Zambia, and South Africa. Most recently Regional Manager for Juken, Shaun has deep experience in running and developing operations and businesses in the forestry sector.

“We are very pleased to confirm Shaun’s appointment,” said Wendy Norris, Chief Executive Officer. “This is a key leadership appointment for OneFortyOne. Our New Zealand Forest business is a significant regional employer, delivering wood fibre to domestic and international markets and prioritising conservation values in the forest.”

Having commenced his career with Sappi in South Africa, Shaun subsequently established a harvesting company and worked as a forestry optimisation consultant.

Shaun went on to work with global copper miner First Quantum Minerals leading an innovative forestry operation on an active mine development in Zambia. Following this role Shaun moved to New Zealand.

“Shaun brings with him extensive commercial experience and will apply his continuous improvement mindset to the business,” said Wendy. “Throughout his career he has contributed to every element of a forestry business.”
