Resources Forester

Reporting to the Resources Information Manager, the role is responsible for the implementation and coordination of specific projects involving forest inventory and resource data collection, analysis and processing which informs forest growth, yield and forest modelling that support operational planning, sales and forest valuation. Other responsibilities include;

  • coordinating resource data acquisition, processing and implementing mensuration work programs in particular inventory planning, site productivity, permanent sample plots and research trials.
  • engagement and supervision of teams of contractors to meet safety, quality and cost targets.

You:

  • The successful candidate will have experience in:
  • forest field measurement practices, methodologies and processes using software applications relating to sample plot data, inventory and yield regulation.
  • management and processing of spatial forest resource data, and preferably able to demonstrate the use of novel or innovative approaches to improve existing processes.
  • the ability to write or articulate your experience in new reference material, technical and/or operational guidelines.
  • contractor engagement and supervision, with a mature safety mindset and values.
  • establish and maintain inclusive business relationships with internal and external stakeholders to generate high quality results.

Planning Forester

As a Planning Forester, you will have the opportunity to hone your craft and develop a genuine specialisation as part of the Planning and Compliance team.

The role is accountable for planning forest operations (establishment, silviculture, harvesting, fire management) and partnering with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to facilitate effective information sharing, cooperation, engagement and risk management throughout the preparation and execution of operation plans.

Any understanding of plantation silviculture, conservation/environmental management would be an advantage, but it is not essential as is appropriate tertiary qualifications including any forest certification. Any exposure to forest systems such as Land Resource Manager, Arc GIS, Remsoft Scheduler /Woodstock, knowledge of forest biometrics and mensuration would be a bonus. Cyber Security Specialist

Location: Australia or New Zealand

Reporting to the Technology Operations and Security Manager, the newly created role of Cyber Security Specialist will be advocating a culture of security and compliance and protecting the business against cyber security breaches. Key areas of responsibility will include but are not limited to:
• Assist in the management of all security & compliance aspects of the Technology environment, including continuous improvement, risk, compliance, change management, audit, vulnerability, penetration test and BCP/DR.
• Proactively monitor and govern security & technical compliance protocols and standards through the organisations Technology Framework.
• Explore, identify, and recommend security & compliance strategies, projects and technical change that will improve their technology security posture.
• Identify technology risks & implement mitigations related to cybersecurity weaknesses and vulnerabilities in software, hardware, network, user education, and IT projects / changes.
• Perform third party risk assessments for all external partners/suppliers.

To meet key deliverables, you will be passionate about cyber security. You will be self-motivated, with a high level of analytical, monitoring, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be able to think laterally and challenge ideas and possess a ‘creative’ flair for solution development, whilst relating effectively to a broad audience, bringing technical and non-technical people together to effectively communicate technical solutions in business terms.

Ideally, you will have at least 3 years practical experience gained in a similar cyber security-based role together with appropriate tertiary studies. Familiarity with industry leading cyber security frameworks for identifying risk (i.e., NIST, ISO, NERC CIP, ISA/IEC) is preferred.

This role can be based remotely, with a preference for applicants who are located in South Australia, Melbourne and New Zealand (South Island), where OneFortyOne have office locations.

Mechanical Shift Tradesperson – Jubilee Sawmill

Location: Jubilee Sawmill, Mount Gambier, South Australia
Hourly rate range: $36.68 per hour – $41.11 per hour. 15% shift loading is additional on afternoon shift, 30% shift loading is additional on night shift.

Motor mechanics, boiler makers, fitters and other relevant tradespeople are encouraged to apply with adult fitter apprenticeships available for the right candidate.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your main responsibility will be to safely and efficiently carry out repair and PM work across the Jubilee Sawmill Site.

You will have:

  • Experience in maintenance fitting & machining work or relevant trade experience
  • Ability to prioritise & act with a sense of urgency to achieve plant uptime targets
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently or in a group
  • Willingness to continually learn

Flexibility to work rotating shifts. Positions available in our 9-day fortnight rotating day/afternoon shift and our 8-hour rotating 3 shift (Monday to Friday) schedules. Weekend work and shift coverage may be required.

The Mechanical Shift Tradesperson should also be open to mentoring our apprentices, and must have a professional, positive, can do attitude. Skills are important; however, the right attitude is essential.

Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing solutions that service our modern sawmill. The role will solve issues from conception through to implementation. In this hands-on role you’ll be working alongside contractors, maintenance & production team members.

Ideally you will have:

  • Experience in design from conception, implementation of capital projects and process improvement projects
  • The ability to manage projects throughout their entirety to achieve milestones
  • The ability to solve complex problems and recommend solutions
  • The ability to communicate to manage stakeholder expectations, contractor performance and implement effective quality control
  • Proven ability in the effective management of safe work practices
  • Mechanical Engineering qualification or experience / suitable education or trade background

Log Grab Driver/Debarker Operator

Location: Jubilee Sawmill, Mount Gambier, South Australia
Hourly rate: Level 5 $28.40 once trained & assessed + shift loading as per EBA

The position reports to the Greenmill Manager. As a member of the Logyard team, your main responsibilities will be to carry out the duties of the Logyard efficiently and safely, using plant and equipment, requiring multi skilling and job rotation when required. Must be able to work effectively as a member of a self-contained crew and be flexible to cover shifts on short notice as required.

You:

  • Have previous Log Grab/Debarker operation and/or heavy vehicle operation experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Are willing to learn different functions across the crew
  • Have good judgment when making decisions

Demonstrated leadership qualities would be an advantage. The Logyard works a rotating day and afternoon shift 5 x 8 hours per day Monday – Friday and overtime as required.

Greenmill Pre Start Operator/Cleaner

The position reports to the Greenmill Night Shift Team Leader. As a member of the prestart team, your main responsibilities will be to conduct cleaning and pre-start duties of machine centres and other general housekeeping duties, efficiently and safely.

This role is on permanent night shift roster working 5 x 8-hour days from 9.50pm-6am, Monday – Friday.

Supply Chain Coordinator – OneFortyOne (Kaituna Sawmill)
