We are extremely proud to be a sustainable, responsible business – building a brighter future with our products and practices.
Our Australian forests located in the Green Triangle meet the globally-recognised Australian Standard® for Sustainable Forest Management (AS 4708), which tests how sustainably we manage our forests, checking off nine key criteria and 57 key requirements.
In New Zealand, our Nelson forests meet the Forest Stewardship Council Accredited National Standard for forest management. The forests comply with the internationally-agreed ’10 principles of responsible forest management’, including: upholding indigenous peoples’ rights; community and workers’ rights; maintaining high conservation value forests; and maintaining the ecosystem.
It’s vital to our company that we maintain our certification and aim to keep raising our standards. We are committed to sustainable forest management practices and the renewable, environmentally beneficial credentials of our timber products.
OneFortyOne is committed to environmental stewardship and is actively working with the forestry industry at the local and national level to drive improvements for a safe and sustainable future.
