OneFortyOne Plantations attended a recent Nangwarry Pool Group meeting, and as a result the Region’s largest forestry company has pledged a once-off donation to support the Nangwarry Pool.
The pledge is conditional upon the Pool Group developing a sustainable solution for the pool which is accepted by the Wattle Range Council at its meeting in May.
OneFortyOne believes in sustainable communities. It takes its role in the community seriously, and wants to ensure that any community initiatives it supports help define a vibrant and thriving community focussed on the wellbeing of its people.
Although the company traditionally contributes to community initiatives through its partnership with Stand Like Stone, it will sometimes get directly involved with community groups like the Nangwarry Pool Group.
This project resonated with OneFortyOne as Nangwarry is not only a traditional timber town, but is located in the middle of OneFortyOne’s forest estate. At last week’s meeting, the Group shared the many benefits of the town’s pool including providing healthy activities for children and keeping them out of swamp pools. The group also intends to install a ramp to enable access to physically challenged community members.
OneFortyOne is pleased to be able to pledge a significant donation to support this important community initiative.
